Waverley Cognition and Learning Resource Base – Primary

Our Primary Resource Base supports pupils with cognition and learning needs and offers a nurturing, inclusive environment tailored to individual development. The provision has a maximum capacity of 12 commissioned places, ensuring focused support and a personalised approach to learning.

Placements are allocated through the Local Authority and are available to pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). We work closely with families and professionals to ensure each child receives the support they need to thrive.

Parents and carers are warmly invited to arrange a tour of the Resource Base with our Primary SENCO, Miss Khatoon, to learn more about our approach and facilities.

Vision

Our Resource Base (RB) is a nurturing, inclusive environment where pupils with additional needs are supported through tailored, creative, and structured learning experiences. We aim to foster independence, emotional regulation, and holistic development through a well-planned curriculum and responsive teaching. This vision aligns with the principles of the SEND Code of Practice: 0 to 25 years, which emphasises high aspirations, person-centred planning, and coordinated support across education, health, and care services.
